Dalaman High School of Civil Aviation was established with the approval of the Senate of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and the General Assembly of Higher Education, with the publication of the Council of Ministers Decree No. 2012/3979 in the Official Gazette dated 20/12/2012 and numbered 28503.
The proposal to open Aviation Management Department, Aircraft Airframe Engine Maintenance Department, Aircraft Electrical and Electronics Department and Pilotage Departments within Dalaman School of Civil Aviation affiliated to Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Rectorate was examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 08/01/2015 and it was deemed appropriate to open the specified departments in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 with Law No. 2880.
The foundation of Dalaman High School of Civil Aviation building was laid on 23.05.2017 with a great participation. The modern college building has a floor area of 1700 m2 and a total area of 6000 m2. The building has modern aviation workshops, 15 classrooms, a conference hall for 185 people and offices. A protocol was signed between our Rectorate and Dalaman Municipality for the construction of this building, and 40% of the building was built by Dalaman Municipality and 60% by the Rectorate of our University.
In the 2017-2018 academic year, the necessary academic staff was formed to carry out education and training activities, and our application was made to the Higher Education Council for student recruitment. As a result, in accordance with the decision of the General Assembly of Higher Education dated 20.04.2017, students were admitted to the Department of Aviation Management in the 2017-2018 Academic Year and active education and training activities were started.
