A technical visit was organized to the Dalaman Airport Air Traffic Control Tower.

As part of the “Air Traffic Rules and Services” course conducted by Ass. Prof. Dr. Mustafa UZGÖR, a technical trip to the Air Traffic Control Tower was organized for 3rd-year students of Aviation Management.

The trip, which took place at Dalaman Airport, aimed to reinforce the students’ theoretical knowledge by observing them in the field. During the trip, the students were provided with detailed information about air traffic control processes, approach control, aerodrome control, controller-pilot communication, flight safety and the characteristics of the airspace. Air traffic controllers answered questions by sharing their one-on-one experiences with the students about the daily operations carried out at the tower.

Stating that the trip was extremely productive in terms of the students’ professional development, Ass. Prof. Dr. Mustafa UZGÖR said, “Such field trips allow students to see not only the information left in textbooks but also the dynamic nature of aviation on site.”

The students stated that the information and observations they acquired greatly contributed to shaping their career goals.
The technical trip increased the students' awareness of air traffic management and once again demonstrated the importance of practical learning.
